generic spring is here blog entry

This blog post is unlikely to be very interesting but it has been brought to my attention that March didn't get any blog entries not even small lame update ones! so here i am...
The title is a bit of a lie seeing as spring isn't really here although it is creeping it's way in with some glimpses of sunshine and highs of 8C!!!
I would like to tell you i have been not posting because i have been working hard on my dissertation but alas i cannot, my dissertation has come to a bit of a standstill as i just can't seem to get it to make sense.
I have been doing my teaching practise which is hard and is making me question if i really want to become a teacher yay blægh!
On a lovely note i have a new boyfriend he is wonderful!

Another monday, another promise broken!

So Monday is here again, and am i sitting in the library doing important work as i have managed to do the past two mondays? ha no of course i'm not! surely no one thought that would become a trend.

  Despite my horrific hangovers of last week the promises i made ended up being in vain. want to know why? no, well i shall tell you anyways becausssssee *insert drumroll here* ALICE MEE is here!!! and i couldn't bring her to Norway and not show her how to get amazingly drunk while at the same time spending insane amounts of money.

apartment isn't tidy and i'm still waiting for the ground to come swallow me up after tuesdays explots BUT 9 days with the legend that is Alice Mee could only make it better!!!

can't wait for our joyus airport reunion! fuck yeah as alice would say tis gna be sicker than bread!

it's 11am and i am sitting in the library, i have been here since before 9am! ..... i figure most of you just fainted from reading those words so i shall give you a little bit of time to compose yourselfs!



Better? good! so yes i have decided to give up on my slacker ways and make one final push in the hope of securing a semi decent grade for my degree. gone are the days of lazing around in bed instead of going to classes, drinking myself into a stupor the day before an exam!  And essays shall no longer be thought about, planned and completed the night before hand in da....who am i kidding!? instead of dilligently highlighting relevent passages for my dissertation, i am instead staring out of the window at a grey and foggy Bergen, checking my facebook and tumblr every five minutes and sneaking little bites of my forbidden rosinboller, but i am in the library and that has to be a start right!?

Sunday at the cinema ( Tamara Drewe)

so apparently there is an unwritten rule in norway that everyone goes to the cinema on sunday evenings. I went along thinking it would be pretty quiet and i could just chill and watch a nice film eat some popcorn and then come home, no stress! ha boy was i wrong!

 I got to the cinema around 18:30 and it was packed to the rafters, thankfully i had bought my ticket online so all i had to do was get it from the little machine and then i popped back out over to 7 eleven because there was no way i was going to try and navioigate though the cinema shop it was crazy crowded.

Day One at the Cabin

The journey up to the cabin was long and surprisingly silent. Tom Ian was suffering from a bad hangover so slept most of the way and I was far too busy watching the amazing scenery go by to be bothered to wake him up and talk his ear off.
The drive went almost without a hitch, except for the slight traffic jam we encountered due to someone driving off of the road further up. Luckily Tom (Tom Ian's father) noticed other cars were driving around the jam and we decided to follow them. An excellent move, we skipped the traffic and drove on to Voss.
We didn't really stop in Voss, so I can't realistically strike it from my list, but we did briefly stop at the Rema1000 to stock up on supplies. Once we had them, it was back in the car and on to the cabin! Hooray!

Lists

This post shall probably not be all that interesting and for that i apologise, but my head is full of lists so i thought i would share them...


Things to do before Cabintimes:

1. wrap presents
2. clean apartment
3. finish making sweet things (nam)
4. buy veggie food
5. wash/pack warm clothes

Things i am looking forward to over the christmas break:

1. watching a ton of christmas classics
2. staying in a cabin in the mountains ( i mean fuck yeah!)
3. reading books for pleasure (thanks becky ;) and not just for school
4. seasons 3 and 4 of dexter
5. sleeping, lots and lots of sleeping! 

Things i shall miss this christmas:

1. Christmas eve drinks with the girlies (and yon)
2. Waking up waaay early on christmas morning (even before my little sister) because i am just that excited
3. Chaotic house
4. The family (obvious one)
5. Late night shopping under the christmas lights of Leicester. 

Things you should look forward to on this blog:

1. Christmas cabin blogging
2. Roll and Rock post
3. Sworn post (yep finally ticked another thing off my list)
4. a massive amount of pictures taken by me while in Norway
5. the usual general rambling (you know you love it)
